A female doctor died of dengue fever at a city hospital on Monday taking the death toll to seven this year.



A female doctor died of dengue fever at a city hospital on Monday taking the death toll to seven this year.
Dipannita Biswas, 20, a student of the 51st batch of Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital, breathed her last at ICCU of BSMMU at 3:30 pm on Monday (September 18).
Earlier, another young doctor Bayezid Ahmed died of dengue at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital on August 23.
Five other doctors are – Sharifa Binte Aziz, Almina Dewan Mishu, M Arifur Rahman, Syeda Sadia Yeasmin Raisa and Fatema-tuz-Zohra Rawnak.
This year, 839 deaths, the highest in a year since dengue was detected in 2000, were reported from dengue disease while 281 died last year.
