8 more die of dengue in 24 hours last

Eight more people died of dengue across the country in the past 24 hours bringing the total number of deaths from dengue this year to 157.


A total of 1,733 patients were admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 1,282 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals during the same period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of them, 701 patients were from Dhaka Division, 110 from Mymensingh Division, 191 from Chattogram Division, 302 from Khulna Division, 191 from Barishal Division, 145 from Rajshahi Division, 86 from Rangpur Division, and 7 from Sylhet Division.

A total of 53,570 patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country this year. Of them, 49,375 patients have recovered after receiving treatment at hospitals and have been discharged, reports BSS.

A total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue, while 413 people died from the disease last year.
