
With the latest fatalities, the number of dengue deaths in the country has risen to 139 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new deaths, two were reported in Khulna division, while one each was recorded in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions.
Of the deaths recorded this year, 65.7 percent were men and 34.3 percent were women.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bangladesh recorded its highest number of dengue deaths in a single day this year, with nine people succumbing to the mosquito-borne disease.
In the latest 24 hours, 1,492 more dengue patients were hospitalised, raising the total number of cases this year to 48,430, reports UNB.
Of them, 44,857 patients have been discharged after recovery, according to the DGHS.
