Dengue: 3 more die, 753 hospitalised in 24 hours

Three people died of dengue and 753 new patients were hospitalised across the country in 24 hours until 8:00am on Tuesday. 


With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 74 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The new deaths were reported in Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna Division.

During the reporting period, 723 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.

Since January 1 this year, a total of 25,601 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 23,747 have recovered and been discharged, while 1,780 patients are currently undergoing treatment, reports UNB.
