Child dies of Dengue in Gazipur

A nine-year-old child died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur on Saturday morning.


The deceased was identified as Pulak Barman, a resident of Targao area under Kapasia upazila of the district.

Pulak was admitted to the hospital three days ago after developing a fever, family members and doctors said.

Later, doctors diagnosed him with dengue and he had been receiving treatment at the hospital.

Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, director of Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital, confirmed that the child died on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment for dengue, reports UNB.
