4 more die of measles-like symptoms in 24hrs

Four more patients have died from measles-like symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).


During the same period, 1,170 new suspected measles cases were reported nationwide, while 115 confirmed patients were admitted to hospitals, a DGHS press release said.

The release added that a total of 26,100 suspected measles patients have so far been admitted to hospitals. Of them, 22,650 have recovered and been discharged after receiving treatment.

Since March 15, a total of 231 people have died from measles and measles-like symptoms across the country, reports BSS.
