5 suspected measles patients die in 24 hours: DGHS

Five suspected measles patients died in the 24 hours till 8:00am on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 138 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).


During the period, 1,248 suspected measles cases were reported. With this, the total number of hospitalisations has reached 11,133.

The DGHS said 189 confirmed measles patients were admitted to hospital in the 24 hours.

Of the total, 5,241 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, reports UNB.
