Lightning strike kills farmer in Lalmonirhat

A farmer was killed in a lightning strike in Shofirhat area under Patgram upazila of the district in the morning.


The deceased was Md Karim Islam, 56, a farmer of Shofirhat area under Baura union of Patgram upazila.

Patgram Police Station's Officer-in-charge Swapan Kumar Sarkar said that Karim was struck by the lightning while he was on the way to his crop field from his house. He died on the spot, reports BSS.
