Chinese Embassy Hosts Send-Off for Bangladeshi Diplomats

The Embassy of China in Bangladesh hosted a pre-departure reception on Monday for the second 2025 batch of Bangladeshi diplomats set to travel to China for specialised training.

Secretary and Rector of the Foreign Service Academy, Dr Md Nazrul Islam, and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, attended the event.

Ambassador Yao highlighted that this marks the fourth batch of young Bangladeshi diplomats joining the training initiative jointly organised by the Chinese Embassy and Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He described the programme as a “Trip of Mutual Learning” to understand China’s development path, a “Trip of Practice” to experience its modernisation, and a “Trip of Dialogue” to strengthen bilateral friendship.

He encouraged participants to use the opportunity for in-depth learning, exchange, and engagement, becoming inheritors of China-Bangladesh friendship and contributors to the healthy development of relations.

Dr Nazrul Islam expressed gratitude for the initiative and reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to enhancing exchanges and cooperation. He stressed that such programmes would help elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two nations to greater heights.
