Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, on Sunday called for stronger people-to-people connections between Nepal and Bangladesh through enhanced connectivity, as well as cultural and tourism exchanges.

He emphasised the importance of closer collaboration on regional and global platforms, particularly in key areas such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change, migration, disaster preparedness, and peacekeeping.

The envoy was speaking at a roundtable discussion in Dhaka titled ‘Bangladesh-Nepal Relations: A Renewed Outlook’, jointly hosted by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF).

During his remarks, he highlighted current initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral relations and proposed expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, education, and other sectors.

Applauding CPD and NEF for facilitating meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing, Ambassador Bhandari encouraged both institutions to continue their research to support a stronger economic partnership between the two nations.
