OIC Secretary General arrives in capital

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha today arrived in Dhaka on a five-day visit.

During the visit, the OIC Secretary General will pay courtesy calls on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, a foreign ministry’s press release said here.   

As the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), the OIC Secretary General will join the 35th Convocation of the IUT to be held on May30. Taha will also visit the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar during his visit.

Upon his arrival today, Foreign Ministry’s Director General (International Organizations) Wahida Ahmed and Vice-Chancellor of IUT, Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam welcomed the Secretary General at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, reports BSS.
