Bangladesh, Pakistan eye stronger B2B ties in textile sector
Bangladesh and Pakistan have agreed to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) engagement and explore greater cooperation in the textile and apparel supply chain.
The issue came up at a meeting between Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) President Mohammad Hatem and Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider at the BKMEA office in the city today, said a press release. Several BKMEA directors were also present at the meeting.

The two sides discussed organising activities under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between BKMEA and the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA), alongside arranging joint B2B meetings to facilitate direct business linkages between companies of the two countries.
Mohammad Hatem invited Pakistani companies to participate in the Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Dhaka in January 2027.
Participation in the exhibition would provide an opportunity to further develop supply-chain synergies and expand commercial links between businesses of Bangladesh and Pakistan, he added.
High Commissioner Imran Haider assured the BKMEA president of all possible cooperation to enhance bilateral trade and commercial collaboration, reports BSS.
