PM, Saudi FM discuss boosting bilateral ties, expanding investment
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud on Friday discussed ways to further deepen Bangladesh-Saudi Arabia relations, including expanding trade, investment, manpower and development cooperation.
The meeting was held at the UN Bilateral Booth (GAL-7) at the United Nations Headquarters on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest, said a press release issued by the PM’s Press Wing.
Tarique stressed the importance of further broadening the long-standing and fraternal relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
They also discussed the potential for expanding Saudi investment and economic cooperation in Bangladesh.
The Saudi foreign minister expressed Saudi Arabia’s interest in further advancing relations with Bangladesh.
The two sides also exchanged views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest, reports UNB.
