PM saddened by Nepal flood deaths, pledges support

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow over the loss of lives caused by devastating floods in Nepal and offered Bangladesh’s support to the Himalayan nation to deal with the crisis.
In a post on his Facebook page, the Prime Minister conveyed his deepest condolences to Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah and the people of Nepal on behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh.
“We stand ready to extend any support that Nepal may need at this time of distress,” Tarique said.
He said his thoughts and prayers were with those who lost their lives and their families and loved ones as they bear the immense loss caused by the floods, reports UNB.
