Bangladesh and the United Kingdom on Thursday exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest, including migration, education, trade and investment.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two countries and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in key sectors.

The discussion took place on the sidelines of the Women & Girls South Asia Diplomatic Reception hosted by UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.

During the event, Bangladesh’s Acting High Commissioner in London, M Nazrul Islam, held talks with Sarah Cooke.

The two diplomats reviewed progress in bilateral relations and reflected on the deep-rooted and historic ties between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.

They also expressed optimism about further enhancing cooperation in areas of shared interest in the coming years.
