British envoy meets defence adviser

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cook today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister's Defence Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam at his office in Dhaka Cantonment.


The meeting was held at the Armed Forces Division, where they exchanged greetings and discussed ways to further enhance defence cooperation between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.

They also discussed various issues of bilateral interest, including strengthening existing military ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, Dr Shamsul Islam recalled the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and the UK, reports BSS.
