National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) Executive Chairman (Secretary) Dr Nazneen Kawshar Chowdhury met with Eng. Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Jarid, Chairman of the Saudi National Committee (SNC) for Workers, in Riyadh to explore new areas of collaboration in skills and workforce development.

During the meeting, the NSDA proposed joint initiatives to align skills certification systems between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, share labour market insights, build institutional capacity, promote ethical recruitment and encourage Saudi employers to recognize NSDA-certified skills.

The SNC expressed keen interest in signing a MoU with NSDA to enhance cooperation and extend greater support for both current and prospective Bangladeshi workers in the Saudi labour market.

The proposed partnership aims to ensure that Bangladeshi workers are globally recognized, better protected and equipped for decent employment opportunities abroad, reports BSS.
