The critically ill youth, Hazrat Uddin, 20, is the son of Bichar Uddin from the same village.

Family members said Hakim fell sick after drinking alcohol with his friend in a litchi orchard on Friday evening, and both became ill shortly afterward.

They were first taken to Daulatpur Hospital, but doctors referred them to Kushtia General Hospital as their condition worsened.

Hakim died there while undergoing treatment at night, while Hazrat Uddin remains in critical condition at the hospital, reports UNB.
