53 metric tonnes of stolen bitumen seized in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have seized 53 metric tonnes of stolen bitumen worth Tk45 lakh from an oil depot at Sonaichhari area of Chattogram’s Sitakunda .



Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have seized 53 metric tonnes of stolen bitumen worth Tk45 lakh from an oil depot at Sonaichhari area of Chattogram’s Sitakunda on Friday (2 June).  Nurul Abser, senior assistant director (Media) of RAB-7, confirmed the matter on  Saturday night.

A member of the bitumen smugglers racket was also held from the depot. He was identified as Mohammad Alamgir Hosen.

He further said the detained Alamgir has been handed over to the concerned police station to take necessary legal actions.
