Two men arrested over rape of housewife in Magura

Magura, Apr 18 - Police on Monday arrested two men on charge of raping a housewife at Dhaneshwargati village under Shalikha upazila of Magura district and produced them before a court today.

The arrestees were identified as Mithun Bishwas, 37 and Goutam Bishwas, 38.

Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shalikha Police Station, said on Friday night, the two men waited outside the victim's house.

When she came out to use the toilet, they swooped on her and raped her.

After the incident, the woman filed a case with Shalikha Police Station on Sunday accusing the two men, the OC said.

The woman was sent to Magura 250-bed District Hospital for medical test, he added. - UNB
