Swechasebak League leader hacked to death in Chuadanga
A leader of Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League was hacked to death by some miscreants in Gobindpur Mathpara area under Alamdanga upazila .
A leader of Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League was hacked to death by some miscreants in Gobindpur Mathpara area under Alamdanga upazila here Friday morning.
The deceased, identified as Al Imran, 27, son of Juran Ali, a resident of Gobindpur village of the upazila, was the general secretary of Alamdanga Municipal Awami Swechasebak League unit of the district.
Three miscreants attacked Al Imran with sharp weapons in Mathpara area due to previous enmity around 11am, Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al-Mamun said.
Later, the locals rescued him and took him to Kushtia Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
The accused have been identified, the SP said, adding police are working to nab them.
