Youth stabbed dead in Dhaka’s Gendaria

A 20-year-old youth was stabbed to death at a residence in KB Road Loharpul area under Gendaria Police Station in the capital on Tuesday.


The deceased was identified as Md Siam, an employee of a travel agency in Paltan and son of Montu Mia of the area.

Siam’s elder brother, Pintoo, who took him to the hospital, said, “My younger brother worked at a travel agency in Paltan. When I returned home around 3am, I found him lying in a pool of blood.”

“We rescued him and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. I cannot say who stabbed my brother,” he added.

He further said they are three brothers and Siam was the youngest among them.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the police camp at DMCH, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue and the matter has been informed to police station concerend, reports UNB.
