Taufel set to arrive in Bangladesh on Sept 13

Dhaka, 10 Sept - Former ICC Elite Panel Umpire Simon Taufel is all 

set to arrive in Dhaka on September 13 to train the Bangladeshi umpires. 

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed him on a two-year contract.

He will work across umpiring and match officiating structures, including 
assessment and grading of umpires.

Taufel, an Australian umpire, has won the ICC Umpire of the Year award five 
times in a row.

Taufel started his umpiring career in 1999 and got the opportunity to 
officiate in a Test in 2000. 

He has experienced officiating at all the big matches of ICC mega events and 
renowned series like the Ashes. 

Simon Taufel has officiated 74 Tests, 174 ODIs and 34 T20Is. He also holds 
the unique record of being named ICC Umpire of the Year five times in a row 
from 2004-2008.

Taufel is also expected to be available throughout the NCL T20, scheduled to 
run from September 14 to October 3.BSS
