Bangladesh to Play One-Off Lord’s Test in 2027

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that Bangladesh will tour England in 2027 for a one-off Test at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.

The match is scheduled to begin on May 28, 2027, marking Bangladesh’s first Test at Lord’s since their 2010 tour of England.

Bangladesh last toured England for a Test series in 2010, playing two matches, including one at Lord’s. The upcoming fixture will be the Tigers’ first Test in England in more than 16 years.

England have since toured Bangladesh, most recently in 2016. The visitors won the opening Test in Chattogram, but Bangladesh secured a memorable victory in the second Test in Dhaka—still their only Test win over England in 10 meetings.

The announcement comes as Bangladesh prepare to tour Australia next month for their first Test series there in 23 years. Within a year, Najmul Hossain Shanto’s side will return to England for the landmark Test at Lord’s.

The ECB also confirmed that the Bangladesh women’s team will tour England in 2027 for a white-ball series comprising three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals.

The T20Is will be played in Northampton (September 8), Taunton (September 10) and Worcester (September 12), while the ODIs are scheduled for Hove (September 17), Canterbury (September 21) and Chelmsford (September 24).
