A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban on Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy, the former mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation, over allegations of corruption.

The order was passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain on November 6, following a plea filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to ACC Deputy Director Mohammad Neyamul Ahsan Gazi, the commission is investigating allegations against Ivy, including the abuse of power, illicit accumulation of wealth, and other irregularities. The ACC's plea expressed concerns that Ivy might attempt to flee the country to avoid prosecution.

The court accepted the petition and imposed the travel ban to prevent any attempt to leave the country during the ongoing investigation.
