Adv Syed Rezaur Rahman elected vice-chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council

Eminent jurist Syed Rezaur Rahman was elected vice-chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council, licensing and regulatory body of the lawyers in the country, today.

He was unanimously elected as the vice-chairman at the first meeting of the newly-elected members of the bar council, Advocate Farhana Reza told BSS.

Pro-independence White Panel, led by Syed Rezaur Rahman, has achieved a landslide victory in the recently-held election of the council, bagging 10 out of the 14 executive posts.

Rahman, former president of Dhaka Bar Council, has so far got elected as many as ten times at Bangladesh Bar Council polls. He already acted as the ad-hoc committee member of the council.

A valiant Freedom Fighter, Syed Rezaur Rahman is also a member of Awami League Advisory Council and was the Chief Prosecutor of 21 August Grenade Attack case, reports BSS.
