OC Pradeep’s wife Chumki surrenders to court

Chumki, wife of former officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf police station Pradeep Kumar has surrendered to a Chattogram court.



Chumki, wife of former officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf police station Pradeep Kumar Das who has been awarded with death penalty in the Sinha murder case, has surrendered to a Chattogram court in a case filed for illegally acquiring assets.
She surrendered to the court of Divisional Special Judge Abdul Majid around 12.00pm on Monday (May 23).
But the court passed an order to send her to jail rejecting her bail plea.
Earlier, the court issued an arrest warrant against Chumki in the case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
On 23 August last year, Chattogram-2 Assistant Director of the ACC Riaz Uddin filed the case against Pradeep and his wife for amassing about Tk 4 crore worth of illegal wealth.
