Iran has launched a missile attack targeting a United States military base in Bahrain, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The missiles were fired at the Juffair base located in Bahrain.

The IRGC said the strike was carried out in response to a US attack on a water plant in Qeshm.

Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the US strike had disrupted water supplies to around 30 villages in the area.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said on social media platform X that sirens sounded during the attack. Residents were urged to remain calm and seek safe shelter.

Last Saturday (28 February), the United States and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran. In the strikes on the Iranian capital Tehran, several senior officials were reportedly killed, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran began retaliatory attacks on Israel. The Revolutionary Guard has also continued launching strikes on US bases and other locations in several countries across the Middle East.
