US-Israel attack on Iran on early Saturday has not received support from any region in the world. Instead, this second attack on Iran in eight months has been strongly criticised in Europe, mildly distanced from in the Middle East and opposed by Russia.

Al Jazeera live has reported Swedish Foreign Minister has saying that the plea of pre-emptive strike by US was baseless as there was no visible threat to show as the cause of such a strike. The Spanish PM similarly rejected the attack on Iran. French President Emanuel Macron called a meeting of the UN Security Council. Russia said it would support Iran in the UNSC and demanded an end to the war.

In the Middle East the Gulf countries want deescalation meaning they do not condone the attack and the US-Israeli objective of regime change in Iran although they have condemned Iran’s firing of missiles at them. Therse states also do not want their space to be used to attack Iran.

Defence analysts have said that the US-Israeli objective is unattainable. Did not Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump know this? An opposition political leader in Israel has been quoted as saying that their PM needed a booster to become strong politically back at home.

Has Donald Trump attempted to rebuild his image following US Supreme Court’s rejection of the tariff war launched across the world. He responded by imposing fresh 10 percent tariff and promising to raise it to 15 percent.

Analysts have said that this war cannot be justified on any count. It was not unavoidable. Instead it’s a war of choice. Worse even was the start of the war when negotials in Geneva had reached the stage of adoption. Omani Foreign Minister who mediated the indirect talks spoke of the progress made before the sudden attack on Iran was started. It was on a similar context that the June 2025 joint US-Israeli war on Iran was launched. This this is the secind time that US had come to war from the negotiating table without giving any hint, they said.  Iran has vowed retaliate with a massive response.
