US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that “major combat” operations have begun against Iran’s missile forces and naval assets.

In a video message posted on his social media platform from his Florida golf club, Trump said the United States military launched the operations to defend Americans from what he described as “imminent threats” from the Iranian regime.

“We are going to destroy their missiles and eliminate their missile industry entirely. Their navy will be annihilated,” Trump said.

Addressing Iranian forces, he warned they faced either “immunity” or “certain death,” and told Iranians that “the hour of your freedom is at hand.”
