Lebanese civil defence workers search through the rubble of a building following an Israeli attack at dawn in the southern Lebanese area of al-Hosh, near the coastal city of Tyre.
At least 11 people, including two children, were killed and 15 others injured in an Israeli airstrike on the eastern Lebanese town of Mashghara, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
The ministry said on Tuesday that the strike, which occurred a day earlier in the West Bekaa region, also left a woman among the dead. Rescue teams were still working to clear debris in the area as search operations continued.
It described the victims as “martyrs” and confirmed that among the injured was a child.
The Israeli military said it had carried out strikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, without providing further details on the specific site in Mashghara.
Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have escalated in recent weeks, with continued cross-border attacks raising fears of further civilian casualties in southern and eastern Lebanon.
