Fake and Fabricated News Brings Forth Hatred

During July and August 2024, numerous false and misleading news emerged regarding the anti-discrimination movement led by students. These events culminated to mass uprising following brutal acts of violence including the killings of students and civilians.

After the eventual victory of students , civilians and supporting political parties, Indian news media began spreading malicious and harmful statements specifically about our communal peaceful and harmonious life. We have been observing it with great concern as it is aimed at tarnishing our image both domestically and internationally. Persistent malicious remarks and actions have already made some untoward incidents to happen in the city of Chittagong and Dhaka which is aired home and abroad.

Our country is proud of our recent achievements and abilities to manage its internal affairs without undue interference. We want that nobody should undermine the sovereignty and ability of our nation.

We urge India to respect the principles of mutual respect,non interference and international law that are cornerstones of peaceful and cooperative relations. We should keep it in mind that both nations are dependent on each other more or less in many perspectives.

Any attempt to undermine our sovereignty or stability will be met with necessary measures to protect our national interest and security.

We believe in constructive dialogue and cooperation. We remain committed to fostering positive relationship provided our independence , sovereignty and dignity are respected.
