Tawhid Afridi Arrested in Murder Case

Controversial content creator Tawhid Afridi has been arrested by the CID from the Bangla Bazar area in Barisal city.


He was apprehended during a special operation conducted in Barisal on Sunday, August 24. Afridi has been arrested in connection with a murder case from July.

The officer-in-charge of Barisal Kotwali Model Police Station, Md. Mizanur Rahman, confirmed that Afridi is en route to Dhaka.

Sources reveal that Tawhid Afridi is a suspect in a murder case filed under the Jatrabari Police Station in the capital. The case was registered on September 1 of the previous year by Md. Joynal Abedin, who accused Afridi and his father, Nasir Uddin Sathi (owner of My TV), among 25 others. Afridi is named as the 11th defendant in the case.
