RMSTU JCD leader dies of cardiac arrest

A leader of Rangamati Science and Technology University (RMSTU) unit of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal died of cardiac arrest in a restaurant in Rangamati district on Monday.


The deceased was identified as Jashim Uddin, 23, a student coordinator and a 4th batch student of Management Department of RMSTU.

Dr Shawkat Akbar Khan, residential medical officer (RMO) of Rangamati General Hospital, said Jashim had suffered a cardiac arrest while having breakfast at a local restaurant in Rangamati Reserve Bazar area in the morning.

Later, he was taken to the Rangamati General Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

The body of Jashim was taken to his village home in Baghaichhari upazila of the district following two namaz-e-janaza held in Rangamati, reports UNB.
