Two JU professors nominated as DCU Syndicate members

Two professors of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have been nominated as members of the Syndicate of Dhaka Central University (DCU).
Professor Dr Nahreen Islam Khan of Geography and Environment Department and Professor Dr Md Sohel Rana of Pharmacy Department have been nominated for the posts.
The Education Ministry issued an order today nominating them as Syndicate members under the "distinguished person" and "distinguished professor" categories respectively.
According to the order, the nominations were made with the approval of the President and Chancellor in accordance with Sections 24(1)(d), (e) and 24(3) of the Dhaka Central University Act, 2026.
The two JU professors, along with Dhaka University's Marketing Department Professor Dr Md Morshed Hasan Khan, have been nominated for a two-year term, reports BSS.
