Prof Dr Rafiqus Salehin appointed KMU VC

Professor Dr Rafiqus Salehin, a noted physician and surgery specialist, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna Medical University (KMU).


The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday with the approval of the President, who is also the Chancellor of the university.

According to the notification, Prof Salehin will serve as the VC for a period of four years from the date of his joining.

Currently, he is serving as the Head of the Department of Surgery at United Medical College and Hospital in the capital.

Prof Salehin has earned a strong reputation in the medical field as a skilled surgeon and experienced academic.

His appointment is expected to usher in a new chapter in the administrative and academic activities of KMU, reports BSS.
