Saudia honors top Bangladeshi travel agents for outstanding 2024 contributions.
Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has honoured its leading travel agents in Bangladesh at the Agents Excellence Award Ceremony held in Dhaka. The event recognised the outstanding contributions of agents in 2024, celebrating their role in expanding Saudia’s presence in the country.
Awards were presented by Musaed M. Almusaed, Assistant Vice President, International Regions; Tarik Alowaidi, Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar; and Ahmed Yusuf Walid, Managing Director of United Link Ltd, Saudia’s General Sales Agent in Bangladesh.
In his address, Almusaed praised the commitment of Bangladeshi travel partners, saying their dedication had been vital to Saudia’s growth. Alowaidi highlighted the support of agents, business partners, and loyal passengers in strengthening the airline’s foothold in the Bangladeshi market.
Walid, in his vote of thanks, noted Saudia’s rising popularity as a preferred carrier for long-haul travel to Europe and North America, supported by its streamlined stopover visa programme facilitating Umrah travel.
Among those recognised were Al-Gazi Travels Ltd, Al-Mareya Travels, Be Fresh Limited, Golden Bengal Tours & Travels, Hajee Air Travels Ltd, Suma International Services, Sundarban Air Travels & Tours, Sunshine Express Travel Inc, Triplovers Limited, Dynamic Travels, East West Travels & Tours (Pvt) Ltd, Shah Amanat Hajj Kafela Travels & Tours, Talon Corporation Ltd, Travelchamp Limited, and Valencia Air Travels & Tours Ltd.
Saudia launched flights to Dhaka in 1980, linking Bangladesh with Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina. Today, the airline operates one of the youngest fleets globally with 149 aircraft, flying to around 100 destinations across four continents.
In 2025, Saudia was ranked 17th worldwide by Skytrax, won “Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East,” and retained its “World Class Airline” title at the APEX World Class Awards for the fifth consecutive year.
