Samsung Bangladesh has introduced its first-ever AI-powered French Door refrigerator, the RF59, marking a significant step forward in the country’s smart home appliance market. The launch positions Samsung at the forefront of bringing intelligent, energy-efficient, and design-focused refrigeration solutions to Bangladeshi consumers.

The official unveiling ceremony was held at the RANGS eMART showroom in Gulshan-2 recently. The event brought together senior representatives from both Samsung Bangladesh and RANGS Industries Limited, reflecting a strong partnership behind the product rollout.

From Samsung Bangladesh, Shahriar Bin Lutfor, Director and Head of Business, Consumer Electronics Division, attended the event along with Anika Rahman, Chief Manager of Product Planning, and Rajib Das Gupta, Deputy General Manager of Retail Strategy. Representing RANGS eMART were Sardar Md. Khaled Bin Hasan, Executive Director, Golam Azam Khan, Head of Sales, and Md. Shariful Islam, General Manager of RANGS Industries Limited.

The newly launched RF59 features a premium flat-door Bespoke design, built to integrate smoothly with modern kitchen aesthetics. Beyond its design appeal, the refrigerator is engineered with advanced smart technology to enhance daily household convenience.

At the core of its innovation is AI Energy Mode, which learns user behaviour over time and automatically optimises power consumption. This helps reduce electricity usage while maintaining consistent cooling performance, making it both cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.

The RF59 also supports Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem, allowing users to control and monitor the appliance remotely via smartphone. Key functions include real-time alerts for door openings, temperature fluctuations, and the ability to activate Power Cool and Power Freeze modes from anywhere.

In terms of performance, the refrigerator delivers rapid cooling capabilities, reaching optimal temperature significantly faster than conventional models. Its Power Cool and Power Freeze features circulate high-speed cold air to preserve food freshness more effectively, particularly useful during frequent door usage or high-temperature conditions.

Despite its advanced features, the RF59 maintains a large 649-litre capacity through Samsung’s SpaceMax Technology, which maximises internal storage without increasing the external footprint. This makes it suitable for standard kitchen layouts while offering expanded storage space for families.

Speaking at the launch, Shahriar Bin Lutfor said the product reflects changing consumer expectations in Bangladesh. He noted that modern households are increasingly prioritising smart functionality, energy efficiency, and long-term value in home appliances.

Sardar Md. Khaled Bin Hasan of RANGS Industries Limited added that RANGS eMART remains committed to introducing innovative global technologies to local consumers. He also highlighted customer-friendly purchase options, including flexible EMI plans and promotional offers designed to make premium appliances more accessible.

The Samsung RF59 is now available at RANGS eMART showrooms across the country, where customers can explore its features and experience the product firsthand.
