Kazi Abdur Rahman joins RAKUB as MD

As per a government notification dated 03 September 2026 ofthe Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, Kazi Abdur Rahman has joinedtoday as the Managing Director of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) upon promotion. 


Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, he was serving as Deputy ManagingDirector of Janata Bank PLC.
 
In addition, he served as Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank PLC, Rupali Bank PLC,and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB).
 
Kazi Abdur Rahman started his career in 1998 by joining Rupali Bank as a Senior Officer.
 
During his tenure at Rupali Bank, he efficiently discharged his duties as Branch Head of several branches; Corporate Branch Head; Principal Branch Head and Zonal Head, as well as Divisional Head of Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dhaka (South).
 
He obtained his Master's degree in Islamic History and Culture from the National University and an MBA degree from Khulna University.
 
He is a Deplumed Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh.
 
Kazi Abdur Rahman has participated in various training programmes, workshops, seminarsand symposiums held at home and abroad, including at BIBM and Bangladesh Bank.
 
He was born in a respectable Muslim family in Syedmohalla village under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat District, reports BSS.
