Partner Field School Congress held with farmers in Kalapara
Patuakhali: To modernize agriculture and interest farmers in producing poison-free vegetables, the Agriculture Department organized the first-ever Partner Field School Congress with farmers in Kalapara, Patuakhali.
Shahadat Hossain, Additional Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, was present as the chief guest at the meeting held at the Kalapara Upazila Parishad meeting room at 11:30 am on Sunday, organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension.
Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, Municipal BNP President Gazi Md. Faruk, Monitoring Officer of the Partner Program of the Barisal region of the Agriculture Department, Riaz Uddin, Assistant Director of CPP Md. Asad Uzzaman, among others were also took part in the program.
The chief guest at the meeting said that in order to increase safe food production, the use of pesticides in crop fields must be reduced. The current government is implementing urgent programs like digging canals to increase agricultural production. - Gofran Palash
