Valiant freedom fighter M Abdus Salam has taken charge formally as the administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

He took the charge from LGRD Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday.

Earlier, he was appointed as the DSCC administrator by the order of the President. A gazette notification signed by Joint secretary Mahbuba Iyreen was issued in this regard.

The appointment has been given in order to make the DSCC's administrative operation and citizen services more dynamic, according to the concerned sources.

It is expected the new administrator will lead only the development programme and overall urban management of the DSCC through taking his new office, reports BSS.
