ABM Abdus Sattar made Principal Secretary to PM

The government has appointed former secretary ABM Abdus Sattar as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister on a contractual basis.

The appointment was announced in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration today.

According to the notification, the appointment has been made under section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018. 

He will hold the post for a period of one year from the date of his joining.

As per the terms of the appointment, he will have to relinquish any existing engagement with any profession, business or any government, semi-government or private institution or organization prior to assuming office, reports BSS. 

The order, issued in the sake of public interest, takes immediate effect.
