Two killed in Manikganj road crash

Two persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident on the Hemayetpur-Manikganj regional highway in Singair upazila today.


The deceased were identified as Abdul Mannan, 23, son of Parash Ali of Nilua village in Doulatpur upazila, and Monir Hossain, 60, son of late Sherzan Molla of Kowri village in Harirampur upazila of the district.

A truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on in the area, leaving auto-rickshaw passengers Mannan and Monir dead on the spot and injuring two others.

The officer-in-charge of Singair Thana said the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, reports UNB. 

A case has been lodged in this regard.
