7 killed, 31 hurt as bus loses control in Faridpur

A tragic accident occurred in Faridpur’s Bakhunda area on Tuesday, April 8, when a local bus lost control, collided with an electricity pole, and overturned into a ditch, resulting in seven fatalities and at least 31 injuries.


The incident took place around 11:15 AM, near the Sharif Jute Mill. While the identities of the victims are yet to be confirmed, emergency responders were quick to arrive at the scene.

Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Senior Station Officer at the Faridpur Fire Service, confirmed the details of the accident and assured that rescue operations were promptly carried out. The authorities are continuing efforts to identify the injured and deceased.
