Bus-CNG Auto-Rickshaw Collision Claims 5 Lives in Pabna

A tragic accident on the Ishwardi-Dashuria Highway in Ishwardi Upazila, Pabna District, left five people dead and two others critically injured on Wednesday. The victims, including a child, were in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw that collided with a bus at approximately 5:30 p.m. near Baharpur Mallika Agro Food.


According to Shahidul Islam, the Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Police Station, the impact of the crash instantly killed four passengers of the auto-rickshaw, while three others sustained injuries. One of the injured later succumbed to their injuries while being transported to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed, and police are working to identify them. Two of the injured victims are in critical condition.

The bus involved in the accident was seized by authorities, though both the driver and the helper managed to flee the scene before police arrived. Authorities are currently searching for the suspects.
