Feni road crash kills five, injures 10

Feni, 17 Feb  - Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a collision between a pickup van and a covered van on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Feni on Monday night.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

A highway police officer said some 14 to 15 construction workers boarding the pickup van were going to Dhaka from Chattogram.

The speeding covered van crashed into the pickup van from the opposite direction, resulting in the casualties, he said.

The injured were taken to Feni Sadar Hospital, he said.

Traffic on the busy highway remained disrupted until the police cleared the accident-damaged vehicles.
