2 die as covered van overturns, crushes auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh
Mymensingh, June 15 - Two people died when a covered van overturned and crushed CNG-run auotrickshaw in Bhoradoba club market area of Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh on Saturday.
The incident occurred on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 4:45 am.
One of the deceased was identified as the auto-rickshaw driver Abdul Halim (40), son of Amir Uddin Mandal in the Bailor area of Trishal upazila, and the identity of the passenger is yet to be known.
Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhoradoba Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter.
The two people died on the spot, he added.
Both the vehicles were recovered and brought to the highway police station, the OC said.-UNB
