2 killed as tractor overturns in B’baria

The deceased were identified as Md Enamul, 26, son of Md Shahjahan of Akhaura upazila and Amir Hosain, 14, son of Bazlu Mia of Nabinagar upazila.



 Two people were killed and another injured when a tractor overturned on Nabinagar-Radhika road at Borohit in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Md Enamul, 26, son of Md Shahjahan of Akhaura upazila and Amir Hosain, 14, son of Bazlu Mia of Nabinagar upazila.

The accident occurred in the morning when the sand-laden tractor overturned and fell on a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering while heading towards Shibpur, leaving two people killed on the spot and another injured, said Mahbub Alam, officer-in-charge of Nabinagar Police Station.

The injured was taken to a local hospital.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Sadar hospital morgue.
