Father, daughter killed in road crash on Bangabandhu expressway

The deceased were Kamal Hossain, 30, son of Abdul Hakim of Ramjankathi area of Barishal, and his daughter Mahira Mahi, 10.



Two persons, including a man and his daughter, were killed after a bus hit their motorcycle on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Expressway in Sreenagar of Munshiganj on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were Kamal Hossain, 30, son of Abdul Hakim of Ramjankathi area of Barishal, and his daughter Mahira Mahi, 10.

Sreenagar Hashara police outpost In-charge Kanchan Kumar Singha said the accident took place adjacent to the Hashara Bridge area at around 2pm when an unidentified bus hit the bike and it lost control and overturned, leaving the father and his daughter dead on the spot.

He said the bodies are now under police custody and police are trying to seize the bus.
