Cement-laden trawler capsizes in Barishal

A trawler carrying 1000 sacks of cement capsized in the River Pandob at Bakerganj upazila in Barishal on Thursday night.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bakerganj Thana Alauddin Milon confirmed the news.

A trawler, loaded with 1000 sacks of cement from a cement factory in Barishal city, sank in the river as a bulkhead hit it near Arshed ghat of the upazila, the OC said.

Two staff were on board, among them, one has been admitted to Bakerganj Upazila Health Complex.
